The only caveat I have about this book is that it was written in 1996, and some of the info is dated (IIS 2 info, for instance) That being said, this is a terrific book, and puts together all the info you'll need, from TCP/IP basics to security issues and network topology. It got me up to speed really quickly. Now, let's see a new and revised edition!!
Outstanding! Very Thorough!

Tom Sheldon's writing style is very easy to read. While he covers several subjects, including basic setup of Windows NT along with IIS, the information is very usable to a new NT Administrator. Tom's coverage of TCP/IP is particularly useful, and he thoroughly explains subnetting and how to use TCP/IP addressing in Appendix C. Overall this is a very useful book and one that can be referred to often to troubleshoot Windows NT and IIS problems.
