Anyone who likes wine, is interested in wine or is just simply curious and possibly looking to up their wine gamesmanship should definitely check out David Kamp's latest snob dictionary. Is a perfectly entertaining blend of wine-speak, esoterica and just some good laugh-out-loud stuff.

I'm infatuated with this book, my favorite so far in the classic Snob series. David Kamp will teach you how to fake it with humor if you're a novice, and brush up on your connoisseurship if you're not. I am looking forward to out-Snobbing my uncle Ray at Thanksgiving, and to giving out WSDs for Chanukah. Be your own sommelier. Can we please follow this up with the art snob's and the fashion snob's dictionaries?

No surprise: David Kamp has produced the perfect pairing for his Food Snob's Dictionary, which was the much-appreciated holiday gift to all my fancy foodie friends last season. This oenological guide from an author whose specialties include food, pop culture, and humor writing, perfectly satisfies my thirst for wine knowledge and did-you-know factoids, and my desire to giggle at the cork-sniffers. It's really fun and funny and yes, quite informative as well. The book's size and design are charming, too.
