Life magazine named Michelle Kwan one of the "100 Best Things about America Now, " and said, "She may have lost the gold at the Olympics, but she has brought back grace and style to ice skating." Every young girl wants to be like Michelle -- beautiful, graceful, smart, and successful. Now Michelle coaches readers to act and think as true champions, just like her! From handling the stress of competition, to eating and exercising right, to getting out of bed at four in the morning, Michelle's been through it all and is here to share how she did it. And after learning Michelle's secrets, readers can take the quiz at the end of each chapter to see if they have what it takes to be a champion, too!
I have read Michelle Kwan's 'The Winning Attitude'T'wice! While I no longer belong to the age group that the writing's are aimed at, not for a long........time.I nevertheless was impressed by the writings. I fail to understand why anyone who has read this book would consider it suitable only for children. One only has to keep up with the News to know of the problems that prevail in communities among all age groups to see how the principals laid out in this book, which I found to be both educational and inspirational, could prove valuable to anyone who takes the time study and follow the guidelines therein.I would suggest this book could be used in schools if not as part of the text certainly in civic classes! With the author as an ''outstanding role model'' who lives by thevery same rules I could only imagine this book which is full of''commonsense'' as having a positive influence on schoolgoers, teachers and parents alike.
I agree, this book is great!

Being a competitive skater myself, it's sometimes hard, especially on bad days, to keep perspective and to keep going. Michelle's book is GREAT! It really helps you to focus and get back on track -- and stay there! For anyone who works hard at anything they love to do, at age 5 or 105!
"Must" reading for all young Michelle Kwan fans!
