The Wizard, the Fairy, and the Magic Chicken each think, "I am the greatest in the world." After a competition full of jealousy, boasting, and reckless spellcasting, they find themselves fleeing from hairy, bumpy, and dotty monsters While running for their lives, the three rivals realize that they can't defeat the monsters alone, and only by working together can they counter the powerful magic. Safe at last, they can still sometimes compete--but as friends. This magical tale of friendship and teamwork is now part of a fun, value-priced 8" x 8" hardcover series about life lessons. Includes downloadable audio and information on the importance of teamwork
There once lived a wizard, a fairy, and a magic chicken. They argued a lot (indeed, they argued through this whole book), but they were very good friends (so the story says). Of course, they keep on arguing even after they learn that trying to outdo each other only results in three scary scary monsters....

Our entire family loves this book. How can you resist a chicken in a tutu, a magic chicken at that, and a magic pickle? This is such a cute book and we love the fact that it's all about working together to solve a problem (even if it's one you've created yourself). My 3 love it and can identify with the characters. We also love the Revenge of the magic chicken, but alas it is now out of print (check your library).
The Wizard, the Fairy, and the Magic Chicken - very Funny

Very funny. My 4 and 6 year old loved it. The characters try to one up each other and it goes awry with the Magic Chicken. It lets the kids figure out a solution to the problem before the Magic chicken and that makes them feel good. It also teaches them some good morals. But mostly it's funny.
A great tale of cooperation

Lester and Munsinger have created a trio of magicians who conjure up trouble and laughter. The drawings come alive across the page spread, and the moral leaves no doubt that there's more to come
