A humorous guide to juggling kids and career offers an on-target view of the hazards of working motherhood--from the dangers of the corporate Mommy track to the lack of time for lovemaking. This description may be from another edition of this product.
A booster seat above the recent crop of humorous parenting books. Smart, funny and very insightful look at that most delicate of modern-day balancing acts. Made the rounds of the new and not-so-new moms in my office and earned high praise and laughter from all. The wisdom in these pages is timeless--I highly recommend it as a shower gift or as a pick-me-up for a mom who's feeling overwhelmed.
The Working Mother's Guilt Guide

I was given this book 9 years ago when my oldest was born. As a 40-something first-time mother and professional woman (CPA) it really resonated with me. I picked it up again (planning to pass it on to a pregnant professional 40-something friend of mine), re-read it, and decided I couldn't part with it! I recommend it as a baby-shower gift (she'll have enough drawstring gowns). Many of us baby-boomer moms think we can be June Cleaver/Donna Reed AND Sandra Day O'Connor AND Golda Meir AND Martha Stewart at the same time. Well, guess what. This book very cleverly lampoons that myth while making you feel OK about what you are accomplishing.
