It has gobs and gobs of information in its 1024 pages, and has even made it to #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list. Here is just a taste of the delectable topics covered in this entertaining and informative publication: Economic Agricultural Employment and Crime statistics, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Golf, Tennis, Boxing, World history, U.S. history, Science & Technology, States of the Union with information and history of each state, Countries of the World with information about each one along with a brief outline of their histories, Travel, Health, and Consumer information, and much much more. This book has so much neat stuff in it it's well worth the price. It lists the all-time television programs from 1961 to Feb 1, 1999, gives the estimated population's of the American Colonies from 1630-1780, gives the complete words to "The Star Spangled Banner", the words to the Presidential Oath Of Office, lists past Nobel Prize winners, has a business directory of some of the United States major corporations including phone numbers web addresses and mailing addresses, and has bunches and bunches more information contained inside. It is one of my all-time favorite books. If you want to read a book that you can use for years to come, this is one to own, and if you're a collector, be sure to pick up the next edition as well.

The World Almanac 2000 is 1024 pages of facts and reference information on economy & business, astronomy & calendar, noted personalities, science, internet, computers, states of the U.S., travel, health, nation of the world, sports and more. The World Almanac 2000 provides brief, accurate information on an endless array of subjects. There is also a special section: the 20th century in pictures, an exclusive 16-page feature. I am using The World Almanacs during some last years. For the most information in one source The World Almanac remains the champion. This is one of the most great and useful reference book of facts I know.

The most comprehensive source of information for the money. And it is definately worth every cent. We have used this book to get geographical information, review historic events, and answer trivia questions. Computers are great, but this book is the best for getting general information fast.

I always have liked this book because of the fact that it has so much useful informatio. The only bad thing about the World Almanac is that even though the cover says 1999, most of the things inside cover only up to 1997, so they don't have 1998, except a little brief section on the major events and happenings of 1998. However, the book is still a good one.
