I bought this book this book when it came out in 86 with my allowance. I still have it to this day. This is also the reason why I study the Paranormal. This book not only tells you chilling factual ghost stories, but this author tells the story behind them in great detail. I immensly enjoyed the stories about the Tower of London. This book is best when read alone with only a candle burning!! His books I believe can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I am no ashamed to admit I still buy them.

I read this book as an elementary school student in California back in 1980 or 1981. I have been searching for it ever since with no avail. I was very impressed withe the content of the book as history as well as for it's value having to do with Ghosts themselves. In my adult life, I have recounted many of the stories from this book as historical information as a matter of discussion with other peers as well as with other children; inclusing my own step-children.
