This book is a classic (along with Volume One), and has been used by teachers and writers since the early '80's. Many books of writing exercises have been published, but none with such a well-thought-out strategy. Keep it near you and you'll never have to worry about writers block.

Ziegler's classroom becomes a writing workshop where students are given direction, but where individual growth and personal interests are encouraged. The Writing Workshop: Volume 1 backs up numerous practical suggestions for teaching creative writing with discussions of the writing process and theory.
