Fascinated by one of the most intriguing secrets in the history of England's monarchy, Elaine Clayton has written a tale that imagines what might have happened to Prince Edward and Prince Richard... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I don't know much about the history of this story, but I love the way this story is told through the passing of notes. I especially like the bravery of the Yoeman's daughter. A great way to introduce kids to the mystery of the princes...An intriguing take on what might have happened ... and I hope the author is right!
An Epistolary picture book

This is a colorful tale reimagining the tale of Richard III and the Princes in the Tower from the perspective of the daughter of one of the guards. The novel is told in the form of notes passed among the children and a few royal decrees. The pictures are a little more cartoonish than I prefer, but they are brightly colored and sometimes quite clever, and carry a lot of the sense of the story. Not having children, I'm not sure whether they will easily understand it without previous knowledge of the story, but there is a historical note at the end that parents may want to read first.
