One of the best fantasies I’ve read this year!

After sitting on my shelf for quite awhile I finally picked it up… and couldn’t put it down!
What really made this book amazing is that it brought back classic fantasy tropes that haven’t been seen in a while! The knights on horseback taking on the dragon, the lost king coming back to reclaim his kingdom, the captured princess in the lonely tower. But the author brings an incredibly original take to each of these classic tropes. It was different to lots of fantasy novels now.
The banter between the characters was hilarious, the descriptions of the landscape were vivid but not overly heavy. It made this 600+ page book just fly by.
