Bold illustrations and silhouettes add an old-fashioned flair to this family-friendly ghost story. Readers will be tempted to point out the side story in this engaging tale, but the young hero, along... This description may be from another edition of this product.
When the little hero of this story moves into a new house, his mother warns him to stay away from strange old house on the corner - people say it's haunted. "Haunted? There's no such thing as ghosts! But if there is ... I'm going to catch one!" And so he's off with his butterfly net, determined to catch a ghost. Now, if he can only find one! This is a very cute little book. Just about each page includes a ghost, all of whom are quite cute and funny. The story is not scary at all, but quite silly, keeping the little reader entertained as he or she watches the hero of the story miss the ghosts at each turn. It's a great book!
For the preschooler who demands a ghost story...

My 4-year-old claims to love scary stories. Of course, he does not want to be REALLY scared. He was pleased when I brought home this "ghost" book. It is adorable and can't possibly scare anyone, yet fulfills the requirements of being a ghost story. The little boy in the story doesn't believe in ghosts, and to prove he's right, searches through every room of a neighboring "haunted" house. He doesn't find a thing--but in every illustration, cute little non-scary ghosts are everywhere, just out of his sight. My son loves the book and on each re-read, giggles about how the boy isn't looking hard enough.
