my kid loves looking through these books, good for boy or girl

My daughter (10) picked out the Things To Do With Mom: Lots Of Fun For Everyone (101 Things to Do With... (Scholastic)), and has enjoyed going through that one. We even did a spa day a few days ago with suggestions from this book. Then she saw this one and wanted a book for things to do with dad. Yes, some of the things are corny (in adults eyes), but for kids, they are just fun. We chuckled over the thumb fighting page, where you cut out holes on a piece of firm cardboard to use as your thumb fighting ring. She thought that was a cool idea. Then there is the rock skipping contest, helps that we have a pond nearby. How to make a rain stick, build a scarecrow, and create a crazy golf course are some ideas in the book. There are over 50 ideas in the book and they can involve painting your room (lotsa work), or simpler things like making hamburgers and milkshakes together. There are lots of nice diagrams in the book, and it is in a very easy to read format. In all, it is a nicely put together book that your kid should come back to more than once. I know mine has.

My son took this out from the library and loved it. He has other similar titles too. It's good to let him look through it and book mark what he is interested in doing. Sometimes its surprising what he picks.
