Partow shares stories from her life and solid Bible teaching to show women that no matter how life has disappointed them, God can bring new life and hope where there was destruction, unforgiveness or suffering. Honest insights breathe hope into weary hearts, minds and souls.
I heard Donna do a seminar a couple years before I bought this book. It gives you a new perspective on life and how to cope with the things that happen in your life and not to just sit back and complain about them. It's a life changing book!!!
the most hope-filled book I've read!

This was the first of several books by Donna Partow that I've had the pleasure of studying. Her direct, no-nonsense, at times humorous, in others introspective, but always down-to-earth, NEVER "preachy" if you will, is like a stream of refreshing water, particularly for women that are feeling 'vulnerable' in their faith because of their past, or present, experiences and situations that they feel they haven't particularly 'signed up' for - I know I am definitely one of those women. Donna's message is truly one of hope and healing!! maria cristina London, UK

If you have EVERY wondered why there are days that you just can't figure out what is going on in your life (and who hasn't) this book is for you! Donna has a way of making you see from her example as well as others that sometimes you may not understand but there is a plan in the works and God is in control. I recommend this book extremely highly, it is witty, smart and its like talking over a subject with a dear friend, because sometimes thats all it take to make things make sense.
An awesome read

I have read this book over several times in the last few years and bought numerous copies for friends and families. Donna's approach is very real and honest. We all have rough times in our lives and we all make mistakes. It's okay to be human. This book uplifted me during a very dark period in my life after my divorce. Her strength to survive her own dark periods were comforting and spiritually uplifting.
A Book to Discuss with Friends

Donna Partow is a best selling author and a popular guest on radio and TV shows including Focus on the Family. Most of us would agree with Donna Partow that we did not sign up for many of the things which life brings us in the course of the years. The book is written in an informal conversational style which tempts the reader to respond to what the author is saying. The first five chapters begin "I Didn't Sign Up For . . . " and the last "I Signed Up For . . ." As the author deals with her own set of experiences, it is easy to accept the suggestions that slip out which may help the reader in her own life. This is a book any woman can understand and one she can discuss with her friends. The author points out that God often takes the things for which you did not sign up and uses them for his own glory.
