A groundbreaking and inspiring book that challenges our relationship with alcohol by exploring the psychological factors behind alcohol use and the cultural influences that contribute to dependency.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I did not feel like the target audience for this book, and although it was a nice reminder about the ways alcohol is promoted and accepted in society despite the known negative health consequences, there are many assumptions made about the reasons why people drink and my own experience was completely different than what the author laid out, so I couldn't relate to many of the arguments. Overall it's a little repetitive and written with some marketing/advertising persuasion, but it could be a great eye opener to someone who is just beginning to question their drinking habits. For me, it fell flat and did not address the spiritual aspects of alcohol abuse that go beyond physical experiences.
