The Three Motives for Murder

Brady Simms had been the Chief of police in Coalmont for about ten minutes when he gets a call for a homicide. Rushing to the scene he discovers Bobby McBee dead and Natasha Hawthorne is the witness to his murder. Brady has loved Nat his whole life but she chose Bobby over him many years ago. Four years ago, Nat was in a car accident that killed a few of her friends and gravely injured others. As the driver of the car, Nat's guilt has eaten away at her and caused her to give up on her dreams of a future with Brady. Now someone is out to kill the survivors and Brady is determined to find out who is responsible and what their motives are. In the process, Brady and Nat discover that nothing is what it seems and the love they had for each other had never died. The Three Motives For Murder has suspense, excitement and romance on every page. The childhood adoration that grows into true love is so romantic. Brady and Nat were meant to be together, although I wonder how Nat came to be with Bobby in the first place. In The Three Motives For Murder, the mystery and suspense are riveting and the tender romance between Brady and Nat is heartwarming. This is a terrific story. Nannette reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
Nice Romantic Suspense

I liked all the characters, especially Reed. Brady was a great beta hero. I bought this book expecting something like In Enemy Hands but ended up liking this story even better. It wasn't as fast-paced as IEH, but the romance was on a much deeper level.
Couldn't put it down

I love everything Michelle Perry has written, and this was no exception. I could not put this down, and was upset when I finished it because I wanted more! Brady Simms is just elected Cheif of Police when he gets called to his first murder. He arrives to the house of the only girl he ever loved, but who left him and broke his heart four years earlier. Nat is ok, but her live in boyfriend, the one she left Brady for, has been shot. Nat has never forgotten or stopped loving Brady. But guilt and pain from the fatal car accident she was at fault for on graduation night four years ago has caused her to punish herself. She, and the other two survivors of the crash have been getting threats from an unkown stalker. Brady tries to remain professional, but gets more involved when Nat's life is in danger as they try to solve the murder, and how it relates to the car accident. The characters are all well drawn, and I would love to see Alisha and Reed in future stories. I loved Nats interaction with her family, and Brady is the ideal hero. The suspense is great, and trying to figure out who is involved with what kept me guessing. I can't wait for her next book.
wonderful police procedural romantic suspense

For years ago the car accident destroyed several families living in Coalmont, Tennessee. Three of the teens were killed, one crippled, another needs pain killers, and driver Natasha "Nat" Hawthorne is carrying around a load of guilt. The tragedy that never left anyone's thoughts is back as a wrongful death civil suit is in court. Only twenty-three years old, Brady Simms is selected as the town police chief in a controversial decision because of his age. Ten minutes on the job and he gets a call that his beloved Nat who dumped him following the accident has reported the murdered corpse of her boyfriend Bobby McBee and barely escaped the masked killer. As he investigates the past and present, his supporters fear that he is letting his heart rule over his 147 IQ brain, but a wave of revelations make him wonder if what everyone thought happened four years ago actually occurred that way and whether the current killer is not a revenge seeker as everyone else thinks, but an avaricious amoral person seeing a chance to make a fortune with the upcoming wrongful death suit. Though at least one prime finding seems too convenient, THE THREE MOTIVES FOR MURDER is a wonderful police procedural romantic suspense. The story line focuses on the homicide investigation while interwoven into the murder inquiry is a second chance at love if Brady goes for it. Michelle Perry provides readers with a fine tale as Brady's biggest supporters fear his love for Nat supersedes his reasoning. Harriet Klausner
