In a mere eight days, the Elon University Women's Soccer Team added to its r?sum? an amazing and transformative international experience. "Through the Lens" is an attempt to capture that experience, and reinforce the importance of Elon University's commitment to global citizenship and education. As a team, we were given this unique opportunity to grow as individuals and to learn together, as coaches and as student-athletes, focused on a common goal of advancing our understanding of the game, our world, and ourselves. We take pride in being part of an institution that fosters and encourages such enriching experiences and pushes us to dig deeper. Our mission is to showcase the commitment to cutting-edge engaged learning by Elon Athletics through this book, thus serving as both an internal and external model for travel by other teams in the future. Thank you to everyone who made our trip both possible and memorable. There is no denying that we each emerged with eyes wide open, and a hunger to learn more.
