Sassy, risk-taking attorney Spiegel Cullen embarks on a murder case that splits delicate daydreams and professional integrity right down the middle. The accused, Breanna Jordan, captivates most with... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Letting go of past loves was a turning point in this debut novel especially since that can be hard to do when you desperately want something steady in your life. The main character a pretty lady attorney encountered several growing points in her quest to free a family friend on the charge of murder. She was compassionate, tough and at times weak just as real people are which is what made this novel so believable and the story line provided an incredible page turning experience. The story is about two ladies actually on two different sides of the law but they both have complex and plot twisting love affairs. Yet only one, the fashion model beauty Breanna Jordan that is on trial for the murder of her boyfriend and it is Spiegel Cullen they call to try the case. The characters are so colorful and funny that you think you are watching something on American justice. I look forward to the sequel though as I'd like to know more about the motives behind the murders, but this was a very a compelling debut and a really good read.

Recently I found myself at London's Heathrow Airport facing a 3-hour layover. Couldn't have been a better time to begin reading "Tick Tock." Hours ticked away like minutes as I became drawn into the drama, humor and suspense of the characters' lives. Gail Ramsey does an excellent job at mixing plot and sub-plot in a way that enhances the book's entertainment value, all the while keeping the reader glued to the pages. Well Done!

All I can say is that I read TICK TOCK in just two days and I have a 7 year old and 4 month old to care for. GAIL RAMSEY, YOU DID YOUR THING! Suspense, Romance...WATCH OUT LAW AND ORDER! It is definitely a page turner and hard to put down. I really connected with the characters, man was Speigel all that and James... Ok, I don't want to give away the story. TICK TOCK is an awesome novel and if its been some time since you read a good one, you need to read TICK TOCK. 5 STARS FOR TICK TOCK.
WELL WRITTEN AND ENTERTAINING

For those who enjoy following the legal process of the courtroom enhanced with murder, intrigue and romance woven throughout, this book offers you more than you expect. First time novelist, Gail Ramsey makes it difficult to put this book down. With more twists and turns than Lombard St. you'd think this novel was set in San Francisco instead of the pink sandy beaches of Bermuda. As an added bonus, Ramsey also lets us experience the city of Philadelphia through the eyes of her central character Spiegel Cullen, an assistant district attorney who must represent a family friend who is also daughter of an influential politician from accusations of murder. Her client's inability to provide clarity around her involvement in the crime creates conflict for Cullen, who questions if her friendship is getting in the way of her good judgment. Cullen also represents the successful fast-track career woman who finds herself in a race against time to prove her client's innocence while trying to prevent her window of opportunity love and a family from closing. Can she be successful at both? Well-written and entertaining!
