Book was recommended by my son's teacher. It was a huge help in helping us decide what to do that was grade appropriate. Great pictures, scientific explanations that kid's can understand.

We are using this book as a supplement to our science lessons for third grade level home-schooled kids. Over a hundred pages of lesson sparking ideas from how to make an eardrum, to how to conduct heat, to gasses vs. solids vs. liquids, etc. Every page or two includes a hands on project/experiment with simple instructions, including diagrams. we look on the internet for teaching the foundation of the topic, then use the pictures, additional information and experiments to cap off the lesson on Freaky Friday. The back of the book covers how to write a report and the scientific method, and a glossary amongst other things. Great fun for students.
