Patrick Henry had laryngitis, George Washington's fly was missing two buttons, and Thomas Jefferson's wig had sprung a curl--but that wasn't all that went wrong with the historical reenactment at St. John's Church. Before Patrick Henry could utter his famous, "Give me liberty or give me death", thoroughly modern Meredith Davis had been thrown back in time more than two centuries.
I bought this, used, more or less as a joke. I am not a fan of romance novels, and this one seemed too ridiculous to pass up. I started to read it, and it all seemed very typical - but I couldn't put it down! It was just too good! Not only was it better written than most of the romantic drivel I've read, it was fun. And, the romantic scenes were great, and inspired great nights! As a skeptic, and even as a history major, I can recommend this book. A tremendous lot of fun!
The Best Yet!

I've read ALL of Thomasina Ring's books (Time Spun Treasures, Dream Catcher, and Time Spun Rapture) and they just keep getting better. (too bad the last two are out of print, but maybe the publisher will bring them back!) Not only are they historically accurate, they're titillating, and let's face it, that's why we read romance, isn't it? Believe me, once you start reading the story of Meredith Davis, you won't be able to put it down! I hope the author graces us with a new book very soon!
A treasure of a book

Of all the Romance novels I've read, I like Time-Spun Treasure the best. The author skillfully induces the reader into suspending reality and accepting the possibility that people--and their possessions--can travel back through time. Along the way she employs clever devices such as 20th century colored contact lenses to confuse 18th century denizens. The story is a blend of science fiction, historical novel, and murder mystery...all deftly woven together in the context of a scorching love affair. The plot is a page-turner and the dénouement quite satisfying. I give it two thumbs up and four stars.SS in ValP
