Just to assuage some of the "cons" about this title...

1. In previous reviews it was mentioned that Raymond Benson was the "David Michaels" for this novel, which is not true. The current author's real name is unknown. 2. As to the typos and grammar, the author was only given 2 1/2 months to complete this novel! I'd love to see you put one this large out in that short a period without errors. Basically the author didn't have sufficient time to proof read it. 3. I blame the short deadline by the publishers for the lack of proper proof reading, perhaps they were under pressure to release it within a short time frame. In my opinion, it would have been better served to delay it and correct the errors, but in spite of all this the novel still comes across with the excitement and depth that we fans of the series love. 4. All-in-all this novel is well worth reading, in spite of the many errors!
Great Book

This was a fantastic book with nonstop action. Though this is the first Splinter Cell book I've read, I can't wait to read the others. I also noticed all of the errors in spelling, grammer, etc... It was unbelieveable! The Bottom Line: This is a must read for fans of Tom Clancy, thrillers, action, or espionage.

The third instalation to this series has been amazing. I like the new author. This book is well articulated and thoughout. Fisher develops throughout the story into a well rounded character.
I tore through this book in a few days.

This Splinter Cell is a hundred times better than the other books. I love the new third-person narration, and how the story manages to make itself interesting without being pervasive and random. The story makes sense, and now you can flip to a random page without finding an F-bomb! Sam's behavior is less James Bond (no offense) and more Sam Fisher, such as how he uses the knife and the stealth he uses. The story is also more intellectual, and I'd even go as far to say Sam has human emotions in this book. I'd say this book is about as much fun as the game itself! Buy it today.

With a new author in line, alot of people were nervous about this book. But it met and exceeded all my expectations. The author has said in interviews he is a former Navy man and you can see it in his writing. He seems very well versed in the military tactics he has Sam using. There was a change of scenery in Sam's personal life that added an interesting new aspect to the character. Unlike the last two novels, this novel is in third person. However, we often get to hear Sam's internal dialogue so we are still getting the world according to Sam Fisher. Big ups to David Michaels on a job well done. I am hopeful there will be more novels to come.
