Patrick Paterson's monograph, Training Surrogate Forces in International Humanitarian Law: Lessons from Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, and Iraq, leverages the author's vast experience in Latin American history to examine how U.S. Special Operations Forces (USSOF) train surrogate forces.
