3-D master Robert Crowther is right on track with an information-packed, interactive celebration of trains then and now . Have you ever wondered how a steam engine works? Do you have a hankering to don an engineer's cap and race a locomotive under tunnels and over bridges? Loaded with flaps, pull-tabs, 3-D trains, and a spectacular pop-up model of a bustling railroad station, Robert Crowther's sturdy exploration of trains and how they work is a tour de force of paper engineering and a bonanza for railroad aficionados of all ages. What's more, it's filled to the brim with fun facts and intriguing information lurking behind, around, and even on top of its many marvelous, movable trains.
This book is amazing and educational. There are so many things to uncover and pull and push. The last page is the best. This is a very hands on book and is great for older kids. Train fans will love this book. Definitly a must.
Fun Book, Even For Grownups!

I bought this for my dad, who has 7 grandchildren. He loves it. It may be listed for 4-8 year-olds, but it's intricate and fragile (not negatively: it just has pages/models that could rip without too much trouble), and I'd have even a 7 or 8 year-old play with it with a little help. Not a "look, but don't touch" book, but as a terrific mix of picture and toy it's worth keeping for generations.
Most Amazing Book Ever

I bought this book for my 5 year old son, who has ADHD and OCD. He is obsessed with trains. He has not put this book down since Christmas. I was worried that it would rip like the pop-up books of yesteryear; but it has held up fabulously. Everything moves or has a flap with more information that your brain can handle about trains. My son absolutley loves it. I would recommend this to anyone one who loves trains, young or old. This book is amazing!
Highly educational and fun

My eight year old son has been obsessed with trains since he was two. It's difficult to find different train activities for him. This book is just right for his age to learn about trains in a fun way without being too babyish. The pop-up illustrations are georgeous and there is plenty of activities to keep them occupied.
Great train popup book

This book is a very well constructed pop up book. A train actually moves in and out of the turnnal! The best thing I like about it is, besides the cool pop ups, it's also very educational.
