The second is that I learn some new information and the third is that it challenges my own beliefs and gets me to think outside the box of what I have always believed to be true. Dr. John A. The author's imagination takes the reader through a fascinating and entertaining journey. It also gives (a select few of) us a glimpse of what else the author was hoping to have achieved in his medical career.
Couldn't Stop Reading Till It Was Done

What an exciting medical thriller! The plot is neatly stitched together(forgive the metaphor). The main character, Dr. Athan Carras, gives the unusually accurate insights of a world-famous heart surgeon--especially since the author is just such a heart surgeon in real life. And while authenticity makes for an interesting novelty (and was why I bought the book in the first place), the novel is exciting and surprising in its own right. I cancelled my weekend plans because I just couldn't put the book down. And in the midst of all this heart-pounding suspense, the novel raised medical ethical issues, the dynamics of career versus family, arrogance versus competence, and winning versus succeeding.

I picked up the book and didn't put it down two hours later until I reached the last page. Adventure, cutting edge science, human drama. Great read!!
