I read Turing's Wold as the one of the texts for a class in Cognitive Science at Indiana University. Turing's World deals with a thing called a Turing Machine. Turing Machine's are a pretty interesting way to model computation. Turing's World comes with some fun software that allows you to design your own Turing Machines. It's required to do the homework in the book. Unfortunately it only comes in the Mac variety.
