A true gem!

What a beautiful book of rhymes and prayers! We have checked out many nursery rhyme books from the library but nothing has been as beautiful and captivating as this book. The prayers are especially appropriate for very young children and makes bedtime all the more special and intimate. This one is a keeper!
Familiar and unfamiliar verses with great illustrations

I found this book at a Christian bookstore but the book has no overtly Christian (evangelical) themes, though all poems and verses are appropriate for Christian families. Some of the verses are ones I learned in my childhood, others were unfamiliar. My three year old already knows several of the poems and recites them to himself throughout the day. The illustrations are beautiful and appeal to the little ones. The verses are divided into themes as you'll see. The moon and stars are well developed themes. I like the hardbound cover but I'm puting the dust cover away 'till my little guy is old enough not to mangle it! Great book. Highly recommended.
