Young love can be complicated, especially if there is an obstacle standing in the way. Karlee, Terrance, and Antwon became friends in sixth grade. At that time, Terrance and Antwon wanted to be more to Karlee than friends, but neither knew the first thing about love. As these three teens matured, Terrance's love for Karlee blossomed. But, because Antwon didn't have what was needed to treat a girl how she should be treated, he began to hate Terrance because he could do the things Antwon couldn't. After sharing his deepest secrets concerning Karlee with Antwon, Twon formed a plan to take Karlee from Terrance.
Karlee was tired of the girls talking about her behind her back. They wanted Antwon, thinking she wasn't good enough for him. So, when Twon came to her with his declaration of her being his girl, she took hold of the offer and left her friend Terrance alone, trying to pick up the pieces of his broken heart.
As they left Karlee and Terrance's place, Antwon turned to look at the boy he'd come to hate, a huge smile on his face.
