Unfinished Business

Beverly and David have welcomed a new baby boy into their lives. Suddenly the future is changed when Dave dies in a hit-and-run accident. Devastated, Beverly does her best to cope with being a young widow and single parent. She finds she doesn't really fit anywhere-not with the younger singles, not with the older widows, not with divorced women, and not with married people. Bolstered by her faith, she carries on. Simultaneously helped and hindered by the well-meaning efforts of others, she longs for the day when she will no longer be the "ward service project." She eventually reluctantly re-enters the dating scene. After enduring her allotment of blind-dates-from-hell, she runs into an old college boyfriend who is divorced and fighting for custody of his three daughters. They struggle to make their relationship work, as both of them face their own unfinished business. This description may be from another edition of this product.

Have you been told strange things about them by your pastor, and seen their young men going door to door in their white shirts with little nametags with their Books of Mormon? Unfinished Business

This book is written so true to life that when you get to the end, you will be scrambling for the next in the series. This book truly helped me understand my mother-in law who lost her husband and raised 7 children on her own. Truly the best book I have read in a long time. I cried cover to cover, never wanting to put it down. I highly recommend this one...

Incredible! Changed my life! Inspirational! Two thumbs up!

A touching account of the struggles and hardships endured by a widowed mother, as she deals with clumsy attempts at sympathy from her church, financial difficulties, and endless trials caused by her mischevious young son, as well as the conflict presented by having her old college boyfriend show back up after his own messy divorce, with three young daughters of his own. Definately well worth reading!
