Ever since she was six years old, Carrie Weingarten has wanted to be an actress. So when Mrs. Wessex announces that their fifth grade class will be putting on a modern version of "Cinderella," Carrie... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I got this book from a booksale and was reading it one day in the car. It's about a girl named Carrie who wants to try out for the school play of Cinderella. She's not very confident though and she finds a small unicorn charm that comes to life Bob who teaches her some important life lessons about self-confidence. It's really funny because she named the unicorn Bob and it's really a girl unicorn. And she tells Carrie she should have named her a girl name. Carrie says, "Well, what about Jim?" And the unicorn goes, "Oh, you're a riot." When I read that, I was peeing in my pants laughing. That was the most hilarious line I've ever read in any book I've ever read and I've read a thousand books. Then the little unicorn gets names out of a parenting magazine and it's pretty cute. It's funny because the unicorn can talk and she's very sassy. She teaches Carrie to believe herself and really go for acting. It works and Carrie is Cinderella in the play. In the end, the unicorn returns to being a charm but Carrie misses her since she was a good friend. This is the best in the Charm Club books which are hard to find but very well-written and enjoyable books. They're really good. The author is a genius. The other Charms that come to life in these books are funny too but this unicorn girl named Bob is a hoot. She's so funny, sassy and life-like she'll steal you're heart. Read this book and then read it again and again. It's so cute.
charm club is cool!
