Existing in a world somewhere between Dhalgren and The Great and Secret Show, Unnamed: The Rough Draft is the opposite of writer's block - dizzyingly simple characters written in a morbidly complicated style as quickly as the author's fingers can type. A porn star who worships sharks, a housewife impregnated by a television, a college kid and the love of his life, a dead man living in a house in space and some people who just have that expression on their faces - that expression that's just begging to get punched. All are part of the Unnamed, a mess that is mesmerizing in its simple complexity and horrifying in its complex simplicity.
