Though May Northcott's heart belongs to Gabriel Tauhou, the leader of the Silver Dragons, being stuck in Abaddon has significantly cooled down her love life - especially since a demon lord is trying to woo her. So far, May has resisted his efforts, but it's getting increasingly hard to thwart disaster. May is shocked when Gabriel encourages her to give in to the demon prince, but her fire-breathing boyfriend has an ulterior motive. Since May was created in the mortal world, her surrender would give her master access to that world, where he would lose his powers.
This is the second in the silver dragons. I love all of her characters. I'm always sad when I have to wait for the next book to be published. Her books just flow. I can finish one of her books in a day. Her books are like fine chocolate. You just want to read more. I love her Dark One books also. All her books keep you in stitches laughing.

I really like all of Katie's Dragon books. I didn't think I would like the Silver Dragons series, but she continues to work in all of the old characters. This book is even better than the first Silver Dragons book. Two thumbs up!
If you like the first book this is a MUST read! cant wait for the next one!

Fires of Abaddon This Was Good

So, I didn't think I was going to like this new dragon series. Afterall I wasn't a huge fan of silver dragon Gabriel, our hero, in the original Aisling Grey series. But our heroine, May, is so delightful that I like him with her. Even though he says stupid man type things occasionally. I won't tell you exactly what but if you read this book, you'll know! May is a doppelganger, an almost exact copy of a naiad named Cyrene who was tricked into sacrificing her common-sense to create May by Magoth the lowest prince of Abaddon. As his servant May was torn away from her mate Gabriel due to insubordination at the end of Playing with Fire, the first book in the series. At the start of this book Gabriel, Drake, and Aisling convince May to accept becoming Magoths consort so that they can rescue her from Abaddon, a.k.a. Hell. Magoth only wants her because then, although he'll be powerless, he'll have access to our world. At a summit of the dragons Fiat, the previous blue wyvern, is formally kicked out. Cyrene dellusionally thinks she could be black dragon Kostya's mate, and when all the dragons are attacked May has to face down the evil dragon they all thought dead and in the process has a bad run in with the phlactery. I loved that we finally get to see Gabriel's home in New Zealand and meet his shaman mother in Australia. From there May hops to Spain to help Cyrene with the water god, Neptune before hopping off to do some spying in Rome. We even get an inside look into Hell! Of course just when you get comfortable with things Ms. MacAlister always has a surprise up her sleeve. This is well worth a read, in fact you'll have trouble putting it down!

Have to admit to having some girl-love for Katie MacAlister! Dont think my hubby minds though... =) Her writing is phenomenal. I simply love the dragon series. So far the green sept is my favorite, but the silver is not so bad! Looking forward to hearing about the other septs as well. Buy them all! Read them all. She's very gifted and they are never slow or dull. Always some action going on. I am even trying to get my husband to read these.
