The publishing of my Grandfather, Earl Minard's, hand-written diary during his time as a soldier during World War II. This is an intensely personal and real-time account from his days on board the USS LST 511 ship. I have included scans from each page of the diary that show his penmanship, pictures and collections from along the way. He even taped an actual poppy flower that he personally picked and saved from Omaha Beach. My grandfather was a humble, loyal and loving man. I am incredibly proud to share his written accounts with all of you.
