It was in excellent condition when it arrived and I was very happy to receive it because all other places had it on back-order or were just discontinued only after one day! So thank you so much for selling it to me! :)

Love Hurts

This volume of Vampire Knight begins with the end of the epic battle for Cross Academy, with the main group being led by Kain and Ruka securing the perimeter, Aido actually earning his nickname by defending the girl's dorm against anything that got through, and a disturbing flash of what has transpired with Ichijo. But the main focus is on the two conjoining love triangles of the series. With Yuki realizing that she has lost the life she has known, Kaname is gentleman enough to allow her a final conversation with Zero, while we get confirmation of something that's only been lightly hinted at thus far as we find out that Kain is far from okay with the way Kaname has been treating Ruka. The intense goodbye between Yuki and Zero is gutwrenching and arguably the most emotional chapter of the entire series so far. Kain has always been one of the most likeable characters in the series with his laid-back good nature and wry humor but hasn't really gotten the spotlight much aside from the Victim of Circumstance side story, and the chapter dedicated to him has been a long time in coming. He goes beyond being Aido's straight man and Ruka's friendly shoulder to cry on now as we find out that Ruka has ironically been unintentionally doing the same thing to him that Kaname has been doing to her and twisting the knife in every time she goes running to him angsting over Kaname. When he calls Kaname on his behavior towards Ruka with calm, quiet dignity, it makes us like and respect him even more. Another winner leaving the series at a crossroad at which it can go many different ways.
