Book 2 in the Mythe series Ronal de Amshe knew he would not receive a warm welcome in the realm of the elves, and he got exactly what he had expected. Especially from the daughter of the Elf King.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Shiloh Walker's works can be terrific or a tragedy. The inconsistancey of her writing can make buying her books a bit of a gamble at times. Mythe Vampire is a great story and a safe bet for Walker fans. This fantasy tale brings a Vampire into the world of elves with interesting results. Elf Princess Caet goes from bratty child to a mature woman during the course of this story. Watching her mature and work her way through her hurts is a pleasure. The vampire Ronal takes a brief dramatic turn worthy of a Shakespearian Tragedy, however, and that seems highly out of character. It's an odd scene that makes little sense. I felt Ms. Walker skimped a bit on the world building. Perhaps because this was the second in the series she didn't feel the need to fill in the details, but this makes it a bit confusing if one hasn't read the previous book. I would have liked to see it stand on it's own a bit better. I understand books from EC tend to be shorter because they are primarily e-books, but Shiloh Walker is talented enough to fit in the needed details in limited space if she chooses to do so. Overall Myth is a good read, and while I won't say its a "must read," it would definately be an enjoyable one for anyone who picks it up.

The story line in this book actually kept my attention and I thought the sexual scenes in the book were well done. I often found myself wishing i were the one in Ronal's arms. Overall it was a very enjoyable book that i will read again. If you like vampire romances, you'll love this one.
