Chris Mills, a former keeper of Canadian lighthouses, has a deep, reverential love of lighthouses and their history, as well as love and respect for the natural environment. These deep connections are felt throughout this book, making for an engrossing and moving read. Mills is a clear, concise writer who is adept at description without ever getting overly wordy. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves lighthouses or maritime nonfiction in general.
