A dark pall hangs over Port Orchard, Washington, after the grisly remains of four young women surface in a matter of weeks. For Sheriff's Detective Kendall Stark, the case is beyond the scope of anything she's ever faced. The only thing she has to go on is the shocking brutality of the slayings--the work of a depraved killer on a gruesome mission. Time's running out and Stark's instincts tell her victim number five has already been targeted. As a last resort, she investigates a local reporter's uncanny insights into the murders, while forensic pathologist Birdy Waterman confronts the chilling handiwork of a vile mastermind. Together these two women are determined to end a psychopath's reign of terror...
Bought this book because of the rave reviews and after the first 100 pages I gave up.
one of Gregg's best

I love this novel. It is one of Gregg's best novels. It get's you on the first page & you don't want to put it down. Trying to guess who the killer is really interesting. The cop & the newspaper reporter keep it interesting also. What the killer does to his victims is unreal. This guy is nuts.
Super good

I have all Mr. Olsen's book but this one was super great. I live in the area he writes about so it is fun to read about places you've been and grown up around but...............you have to read this book anyway!! It will keep you on the edge of your seat and the main character is very likeable.
Best of Olsen's Fiction

Gregg Olsen's fiction just gets better and better. And his latest, Victim Six, is his best thriller to date. Serial killings in western Washington state have the community, and especially a tenacious detective and a young journalist, on alert. Is there a pattern? Who is most in danger? Who is killing people? And... Who is Victim Six? Each reader has a tough decision to make - whether to race through to answer all the questions or whether to slow down and savor the plot twists, the characters and the language. Either way, Victim Six is a great read.
Victim 6 is my fave so far.

I enjoyed reading this book and did so in about a day. I wasnt able to put the thing down. I grew up in Kitsap County, Port Orchard is my home town. As I read this book, it was exciting to know that when he was writing about the courthouse, ITS OUR COURTHOUSE. Everything was true to the lay out of Port Orchard. This book was so real to me that in the morning when I woke up, I got onto our local papers website, like I do every morning and was expecting to read something new about the "Kitsap Cutter". In response to the jerk who suggested that Gregg writes his own reviews, get real. Gregg is a wonderful author. He does not need to write his own good reviews. Thats what fans of his work are for. Of which I am one. And that is very offensive. If you have no proof....well you know what they say about when you assume things. Gregg, keep up the great work. We are all so proud of you. Don't let the uninformed few ruin it. You are greatly successful. We love you and we can't wait for the next book. Shellie
Victim Six

Gregg Olsen never ceases to capture my interest. Victim Six is a compelling and plausible spine chilling story. Stark! Blunt! Shocking! I always enjoy the sensitive approach the author uses with innocence portraying a sharp contrast with the vile and evil. The glaring reality of this twisted thriller creates a wariness of one's own surroundings!
