People ask me why I don't travel. Lots of people love it. At most beginnings of school years when I taught, teachers would come back with stories of where they went. It was typical we talked about our summers the first day back in the fall. I didn't go anywhere during that time. It is tough being a single mom and making ends meet. I have been deflecting that question a long time and wondering too. When my kids were grown and I was going through a lot of stuff I saved, I found the answer. I had traveled. A lot. The answer was in a post card collection I had kept over the years during my childhood. There were quite a few, about one hundred. Then I found a scrapbook. Then my journal when I traveled to the USSR. I realized I had something... an unwritten travel diary of artifacts that remind me of where I went. Sit back and relax, enjoy the now vintage photos of places I went and by now changed. I love vintage things like I find in antique stores these days. If you do too, you are in for a treat. I also realized why I did not travel among my things.
