Everyone is female!

Wouldn't you want to land on a planet where everyone is female? Well, that is what our hero gets to do. He has plenty of problems once he gets there though. Apparently a colony ship with an all-female complement went off course and landed on an uncharted planet. (A feature of this line of Anderson stories is the "trepidation vortex" which can do just that.) The ship's doctor developed a method of cloning the women thus creating a population of identical copies from maybe 50 individuals. The hero doesn't get the girl, at least not during the story, but he has plenty of adventures with an identical pair of fiery (in both hair and spirit) gorgeous redheads. (Anderson loves redheads!) Note that in decisions that must be made involving genetically identical individuals, the roll of the dice is sacred.
