Felting--or boiling a knit item so it shrinks and the fibers mesh together--yields amazingly durable, beautiful pieces with unusual textures. It's the perfect technique for beginners because many mistakes just disappear during the washing process. With this new entry in the popular Vogue: Knitting on the Go series, knitters can get in on this increasingly popular technique and make more than 20 stylish projects. An introduction explains all the knitting basics and felting fundamentals, from yarn selection to blocking and finishing the final product, and there's a wide variety of great things to create. Knit a flower clutch bag, baby blanket, pillows, a snake toy, beret, tea cozy, slippers, scarves, multicolored mittens, and more.
Cute projects. Easy to follow directions. I'll make many items in this book.
A "Knit it all-book"

The book just arrived today. Staying for lazy days in our summer house by the Sognefiord (Norway), I could read the book at once. I know that I am going to knit ALL the patterns in this book, just as I have done with the patterns in the other books in the small Vogue Knitting-books. My small grandchildren liked the Tea Cosy on front page with all the nice buttons. They thought it was a hat. Of course I can knit hats like that. I have started to sort out the wool yarn in my stash and will start tomorrow.
Very Fun, Very Vogue!

Just what you would expect from Vogue - like all the other little hardback Vogue 'Knitting on the Go' books. Lots of dreamy project ideas that look just a little more stylish, a little more unique than the standard patterns out there. I own an embarrassing number of knitting books (I could never knit something from all of them!) but time and again I go back to the 'Vogue Knitting on the Go' books for a quick gift, a fun pick-me-up or in-between project, or sometimes just to remind myself why we knit.
great felting book

As an experienced knitter and felter, I was surprised how great this little book is. I have made several things from it and they worked up easily and well. The directions are clear, the photos attractive. Overall the book is just a great little asset to my knitting library.
