From an affluent family, Cody Walker endures PTSD suffered while in combat as a marine. He has come home with plans to be a hermit hiding from his family. However, having seen caring Paula brings him out into the open though he is hesitant. Paula and Walker are attracted to one another, but she has not moved passed her late husband dying in the same war that haunts the returning veteran. This is a super contemporary romance starring two wonderful lead characters haunted with what war has wrought to them personally.
