Encouraged our little one to leave crawling behind

I took out this book from the library and have to return it now (okay, so it is overdue). I have to purchase it, as I am so sad to let it go. It is our toddler's absolute favorite book. He asks to read it again and again (and again) and smiles throughout. I swear this is what finally gave him the confidence to let go and walk unassisted. After crawling at 7m, standing and "cruising" at 8m, up & down stairs at 9m, on & off furniture at 11m... finally, with the help of baby bear, "walking down the hallway" at 16+ months. I simply took out the book, as I'm a sucker for bears... encouraging our toddler to walk was just an amazing bonus. Within a day or two of watching baby bear... he let go... "what a clever bear".
The best in the "Baby Bear" series

I own all of John Prater's "Baby Bear" books, and this one is my (and my three year old son's) favorite! The text is wonderful, and has a sing-song quality to it. The illustrations are simple and beautiful and a delight to view. My son has enjoyed these books since infancy, and when his new sibling is added to the family this winter, we will have another child enthralled by John Prater's work.
