Much easier to us to identify patterns

This is the second book I have purchased on depression glass. The first was the book by Gene Florence. This book is much easier to see the designs. It has a shape guide that is very helpful as well as a box on each pattern with a black and white illustration of the pattern of the plate. If you just buy one book on depression glass, this should be it.

The one reference that I keep coming back to! Irreplaceable

Ellen Schroy has produced a depression glass reference that is easy to use, concise and very accurate. The graphic representations of the various glass patterns make identification of closely associated patterns very easy. Unlike similar books that have nice pictures that are impossible to determine a pattern from (Florence is a classic example), the approach taken by Ms. Schroy is one that is quite usable. I higly recommend it and use it almost daily. I only wish it were updated to current prices.
