Every Washington angler needs a copy of "The Washington State Fishing Guide." Author Terry Sheely is a well-know outdoor writer from Black Diamond, and he's fished Washington since 1971. Those years on the water show up in the book, as Sheely provides accurate descriptions and directions to most of the state's river, lake and ocean fisheries. Sheely gives anglers enough how-to information to reach the water and start finding fish, but he doesn't tell you what rock to stand on. And that's how it should be. The book is $29.95 and is available at most tackle shops and bookstores. Fish hard and read hard!
