From the acclaimed author of "Jars of Glass" and "Dream Factory." It's been a year since 15-year-old Mia Hopkins was in the car crash that killed her older sister and left her terribly scarred. When Mia is shipped off to New York City for the summer, she meets a group of friends who understand her grief and guilt, and who just may be able to help her find a new beginning.
This was not my favorite book or the worst I have read. The permise was really good and I enjoyed the ride. There was just something that I did not care for and I can not place what it is. The events on the night that Rachel died, I wish that we adressed some of them again. This book was all about healing and how Mia came to heal after her sister died. I feel like some of some of the facts/events were put into this book for the emotion it would bring out in the reader. It was a 3-star read for me. I do not think that I would pick up another book by this author.
