So I was looking through a used bookstore, and I stumble across this book. I see it has a great historical setting, political maneuvering, and ruthless businessmen. My kind of book. I buy it, and expect maybe something to occupy me on a plane trip....and I was blown away. The characters are wonderful, the history researched well, and the cameos from people like James Garfield were brilliant. I really want to read the other parts to this series soon. In short, great book, lots of fun, perfect for anyone who likes period pieces or reading about ruthless and powerful men.
