"I can never remember my dreams, so Mr. Yourgrau's stories are a pretty good substitute." --David Byrne Barry Yourgrau's imagination makes critics reach: Fellini? Kafka? Freud in a funny hat? Yourgrau... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book was very good. This book was about a single dad who is a nerd scientist. There's tree guys who always pick on Joe, the dad. One day Joe came into his office and his invention was gone and he knew wqho took it and he needed it to show his boss. He got mad and fell and this invisible chemical fell onto his body which made him invisable. I liked this book and i would reccomend this book to any body who likes science.

This is second Barry Yourgrau book I've read-- after his newest, Haunted Traveller, which is a wonder. This is another kind of wonder. To wit, the narratives of a son (as a boy, as a man, and interchangable) and his parents. But family life through the nakes looking glass of the subconscious, of the chuild's eye. It's some of the most vivid & gleeful & wildly touching writing I've ever encountered. This has been my reading revelation this spring-- Barry Yourgrau. Wherever he is (in an apmnt, in a madhouse, already lifted up to heaven), I salute him. This book is, as they say, a classic. Couple more to go.
