If you're looking for a book that offers many different ways to explore hand weaving, this is the one. The projects are appropriate for young children or full-grown adults, and they're simply and clearly explained. All kinds of different materials can be used--paper, burlap, wire, cardboard, reed, or even drinking straws or pipe cleaners! It discusses more traditional weaving, too, such as tapestry and rug hooking. And it's beautiful to browse through. I especially like the use of unusual materials, like feathers, grasses, and shells, in many of the finished weavings. Very inspirational!
