An Excellent Instrument in Bedding Down the Resistor!

After trying everything in the Dr. Sears arsenol to get our little one to sleep we stumbled upon this book and cassette. At first we paid no mind to the cassette and incorporated the book into our nite time ritual. The book is about mommy and daddy animals saying "good night" to their "sleepy little" babies. Not too different than many other books out there; but, this book consists of many bright colors and has a nice lead in from one page to the next. Our son looks at the pages over and over and points to different images that interests him. However, this book did not relax nor calm him to sleep. THEN we discovered the true instrument of this set... the cassette. WOW! Out with the book, in with the tunes. The cassette is an adaptation of the book. The tape starts with calming adult voices saying "Hush a Bye Baby, it's Lullaby Time". It then goes into the narration of the book. The narrator is a young child. It appears our son is captivated by this child's voice. The narrator reads one page of the book at a time (each page is a different parent animal saying "good night" to their babies). After each page is verbalized, a complimenting lullaby is song by adults. The voices are soothing, almost magical. The background music is soft. The overall sound reminds us of christmas and the magic children bring to the occassion. We now enjoy bedding down our son. The music always puts us in a "bedder" mood and makes a sound sleeper out of our resistor. Now, if only it came in a cd version so that we could set it to "loop".
