Rarely Told History of Black Western Pioneers

This is a wonderful book about Black contributions to the settling of the American West. These stories, most of which I had never heard before, tell of interesting adventurers who went West to create new lives for themselves and their families. After reading their stories I felt like I knew them. I thought it was particularly brilliant (even if the author is my daughter) to include some Living Legends that people might actually meet at a book signing, rodeo, school or other appearance. I see Best Seller in her future.
