His work appears widely in journals including AGNI, Harvard Review, Gettysburg Review, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. The recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Fullbright Program, he holds an MFA from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in English from the University of North Texas, where he teaches literature and creative writing.
