Just a quick glance at the table of contents will tell you that this isn't your standard inspirational book. Consider these chapter titles: "It's a Dog-Eat-Dog World and Cats Are Waiting Tables,""I Need a Rocky Mountain High Because I've Reached a Barry Manilow,"and "If the Incredible Edible Roadkill Bill Passes, Will There Really Be a Fork in the Road?" Martin Babb moves beyond such extraordinary titles to address the ordinary issues we all face on a daily basis -- surviving trials, loving others, parenting, developing a servant's heart, and a variety of other down-to-earth topics. With each life-affirming lesson, he plants whimsical seeds intended to nurture serious reflection. When Did Caesar Become a Salad and Jeremiah a Bullfrog will give you a reason to smile and something to chew on with its unconventional collection of bite-sized essays.
This is a great book to read together with a non-Christian. No matter the religious beliefs of your friend, he or she will find Babb's writing witty and entertaining. But the nuggets of Christian truth are written in a non-threatening way that can foster conversation on to something deeper.

If you are looking for a book that can put a smile on your face, then this is the book for you. We all have books that we read then shelve--this one is to be read and left on the desk for reference day in and day out. It's a perfect pick me up book filled with short stories, pun-filled paragraphs and simply hilarious thoughts. In most cases, Babb is able to bring the main point home in just one sentence or phrase. These short chapters never get old.
This is Hilarious!!

This is a group of separate, very funny stories. They are hilarious, off-beat - nothing you have ever heard before, and then the author ties each up at the end with a very touching, straight to the point message for walking out the Christian faith. This would be great for anyone who teaches Sunday School or a Bible study for ideas or just to read like a daily devotion - these are really good and different from the average Christian author (I would say that this guy is not your average author).
